class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Lightning can be extremely hot, with temperatures reaching up to 50,000 degrees Fahrenheit (27,700 degrees Celsius).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It travels at the speed of light, making it appear instantaneous.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-large-font-size\"><strong>Thunder:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Lightning is always accompanied by thunder, which is the sound produced by the rapid expansion of air due to the intense heat of the lightning bolt.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Thunder can be used to estimate the distance of a lightning strike \u2013 each 5-second gap between lightning and thunder equals roughly 1 mile (1.6 kilometers).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-large-font-size\"><strong>Safety Measures:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Lightning is dangerous, and safety precautions should be taken during a thunderstorm.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Stay indoors and avoid contact with electrical appliances,
