Example: 75% = 75 out of 100.

Can be written as a fraction: 75% = 75/100 = 3/4

Can be written as a decimal: 75% = 0.75

Move the decimal point two places to the left.

Example:

40% → 0.40

8% → 0.08

Write percent over 100 and simplify.

Example:

125% → 125/100 = 5/4

Multiply by 100 and add % sign.

Then compare easily:
