Capitalise the First Word of a Sentence

• The first word in every sentence must start with a capital letter.
  Example: ✖️ she is my friend. → ✅ She is my friend.

Capitalise Proper Nouns

Proper nouns name specific people, places, things, or events.

• People: 👩‍🏫 Ravi, Priya, Dr. Sharma
• Places: 🗺️ India, Hyderabad, Mount Everest
• Days & Months: 📅 Monday, July, Diwali
• Festivals: 🎉 Holi, Christmas, Eid

Capitalise Book, Movie & Title Names

• Capitalise important words in titles.
  Example:
  Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
  The Lion King

Capitalise Names of Organisations & Institutions

• Schools, companies, government bodies, etc.
  Example:
  Delta Public School, Microsoft, Indian Government

Capitalise Languages, Nationalities & Religions

• Nationalities: 🧳 Indian, American
• Religions: 🕌 Hinduism, Christianity

Capitalise Abbreviations & Acronyms

• NASA, UNO, IPL, USA, CBSE

Capitalisation in “I” and Its Contractions

• The pronoun I is always capitalised.
  Example: I am sure. I’ll help you.

Capitalise Historical Periods & Events

• World War II, Independence Day, Industrial Revolution

Do NOT Capitalise Common Nouns

• General nouns must not be capitalised.
  Example:

Capitalise in Direct Speech

• The first word inside quotation marks must be capitalised.
  Example:
